Bighorn Sheep - Site Map
Bighorn sheep are gregarious animals and often form herds of 100 or more individuals, but can be seen in small groups of 8-10.
Bighorn sheep are usual prey for wolves, coyotes, bears, bobcats and lynx.
The hallmark of Bighorn sheep is massive brown horns of male sheep or rams. These horns curl back, down and up past the animal’s cheeks.
Bighorn sheep (Ovis Canadensis) inhabit grassy mountains, alpine meadows and foothill country near rocky cliffs that allow quick escape.
