Bighorn Sheep

The fur texture is very smooth and composed of an outer coat of brittle guard hairs and short, gray, crimped fleece under fur. The summer coat is a rich, glossy brown but it becomes quite faded by late winter. The color of the coat helps to camouflage in the rocks.

The body of the animal is compact and muscular; the muzzle is narrow and pointed; the ears are short and pointed; and the tail is very short.
